In 1977, at an early age, while he was attending college and working in a restaurant as a waiter, Fraidoon Izadi found a passion for the Food and Beverage Industry. Fraidoon graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for 3M Company for 12 years and managed a restaurant at night. In 1988, he purchased his first restaurant, Aldo's Italian Restaurant. While owning Aldo's, he opened another restaurant in 2003 called Merlot's Restaurant at Johns Creek.
Fraidoon now owns Baba's Gyros & Kabob, a Mediterranean restaurant at which the menus consists of authentic Greek, Persian, Italian food and more. Baba's Gyro and Kabob was established in 2006. At Baba's we cook everything to the order for freshness. Fraidoon brings with him a passion for the highest quality, best tasting food and at a reasonable price. We use the best and healthiest ingredients, such as saffron, nuts, berries and fresh herbs in most of our dishes, especially our Persian dishes.

Baba’s has been recognized as the number one Mediterranean restaurant by Flavors of Forsyth, Best Gyro in town by The AJC, we also have a rating of 4.75 by Yelp and Urbanspoon. We are a family owned and operated restaurant and we take pride in our food and service in order to ensure that every guest feels like apart of our family.
